Brookhaven will provide the new start and finish areas for a metro Atlanta half marathon road race, which is scheduled to take place  Oct. 2.

“As we continue to brand Brookhaven, this is just one of many opportunities we have to bring the community together,” said Gretchen Roberts, Marketing Director for Sembler/Town Brookhaven, which will host the start and finish areas for the 13.1 Atlanta Marathon this year.

The new start line will include wider lanes to reduce congestion, the race’s promoters said in a press release.
