The deadline to register to vote in the March 6 presidential preference primary is Feb. 6.

You must be 17 ½ or older to register and 18 to vote. People currently serving a sentence for a felony crime, or people who are ruled mentally incompetent cannot vote.

Where:  You can register at the DeKalb County Voter Registration Office, local public library, or the department of motor vehicles when picking up a driver’s license. You may also download the form off the Georgia Secretary of State’s website.

Requirements to register: If you mail-in a registration form, you have to mail in a copy of a bill or a driver’s license to establish residency.
