Sandy Springs Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Dennis Ham

Deputy Fire Chief Dennis Ham has resigned, the City of Sandy Springs announced on Jan. 13.  The city’s press release said his resignation is due to “health and personal reasons.”

Ham joined the fire department in 2006.

“We greatly appreciate Dennis’s dedication in serving the City of Sandy Springs.  Effective immediately, Senior Deputy Chief Fire Marshal Jeff Scarbrough and Assistant Chief Mark Duke  will assume additional responsibilities to fill that role,” Fire Chief Jack McElfish said in a press release.
