Michael Parson

A man charged with shooting his wife in the head outside a Sandy Springs apartment complex will soon be back in Fulton County, Sandy Springs police say.

Michael Parson, who was arrested Tyler, Texas on May 5, has decided to waive his extradition meaning he will not contest being transported back to to Georgia. His wife, Adina Parson, recently moved to the Shepherd Spinal Center after spending several weeks recovering at Grady Memorial Hospital from head wounds.

“The District Attorney’s office now has all of the paperwork for the indictment,” Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose said.

Police allege  Michael Parson on April 20 shot his wife several times in the head in the breezeway of her apartment building, the Residences at Morgan Falls.

He is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and giving false statements in writing concealing the facts of a felony.
