Trees Atlanta has hired a herd of more than 100 hungry sheep to tackle acres of kudzu that grow in Atlanta’s greenspaces, and the herd’s first stop is Chastain Park. The Atlanta community is invited to have breakfast with a handful of the sheep (other refreshments besides kudzu will be provided for the humans, generously provided by The Ritz Carlton Buckhead), feed the sheep, participate in arts and crafts, and learn why invasive plant removal is vital to a healthy urban forest.
The presenting sponsor of “Breakfast with the Sheep” is Wells Fargo. Parking is available along the roadway leading to the Conservancy offices at 4001 Powers Ferry Road.
