Readers of the Brookhaven Reporter recently voted in a poll on the issue of whether Brookhaven should become a city.

That polling data was featured in a segment on 11 Alive Atlanta this morning, July 19. The poll showed 61 percent of people taking the poll opposed Brookhaven cityhood, compared to 39 percent in favor. The poll was online only and limited to one vote per IP address.

The Brookhaven Reporter has been the consistent source of fair, objective and comprehensive coverage on the cityhood question. On July 9, the newspaper’s parent company, Reporter Newspapers, invited both sides of the debate to a forum at Oglethorpe University. To read that story, click here.

The Brookhaven Reporter also published a July 18 story delving into campaign finance reports that reveal who is backing each campaign. To read that story and see those reports, click here.
