The High Museum of Art Holiday Artist Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will unusual and one-of-a-kind gifts for adults and children from local artisans including hand-blown glass, custom-made jewelry and more. Chef Sonya of Sweet Auburn Bread Co. will sign her new cookbook from 2-4 p.m.

Dec. 1
The 6th annual Celebrity Clinic offers a chance for kids to play baseball with major and minor league players at Turner Field, 9 a.m. to noon. The event benefits L.E.A.D. (Launch, Expose, Advise, Direct), a nonprofit that helps inner city school athletes. The cost is $250 per player for ages 6 to 10 and 11 to 14.

Dec. 1-2
The Georgia State University School of Music 15th annual Gala Holiday Concert will be held at 8 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Rialto Center for the Arts, 80 Forsyth St. This year’s performances will feature traditional holiday favorites as well as music with an international twist including Duke Ellington, Tchaikovsky, Handel andRalph Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols. Tickets are $22-$48.

Dec. 2
The Atlanta Youth Academy Benefit Auction will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at Mason Murer Fine Art, 199 Armour Drive. The event will include live and silent auctions of items such as fine art by local artists, jewelry, vacation-home stays, tickets to sporting and theater events, and restaurant and spa gift certificates. Every dollar raised will fund scholarships at AYA. Last year’s Benefit Auction generated more than $40,000. Tickets are $25, include five raffle tickets, and may be purchased in advance at
