The newly elected Brookhaven City Council will be sworn into office at 7 p.m. Dec. 10.
After council members take their oath of office, they will hold their first meeting at Lupton Hall at Oglethorpe University.
The meeting will follow the final gathering of the Governor’s Commission on Brookhaven. That board will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. Dec. 9 at Gable Hall at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. The commissioners will hand over their final recommendations to the City Council.
