Red Bandana Pet Foods and Supplies won the top prize in the city of Sandy Springs Sparkles competition for business holiday window decorations.

Red Bandana Pet Foods and Supplies won the top prize in the city of Sandy Springs’ second Sparkle Sandy Springs competition for businesses displaying holiday decorations.

The shop, located at 216 Johnson Ferry Road, was chosen to receive the best overall design quality and presentation award for its decorated window, which includes a snowman, a sleigh being pulled by puppies, a candy cane and dog biscuits.

The competition among businesses for best holiday decorations was sponsored by the city of Sandy Springs, Sandy Springs Hospitality and Tourism and the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce. The winners were announced during the Sandy Springs City Council meeting Dec. 18

“We were thrilled to see participation more than double this year,” Mayor Eva Galambos said in a press release. “We have such a great business community. The contest is a wonderful way to bring added attention to them during the holiday shopping season. Our participants definitely brought added sparkle to the city!”

Honorable mentions were awarded to Hammocks Trading Co., Bean Head Toys , Sandy Springs Design Center and Slopes BBQ, according to the city.
