The Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade and Festival will be held tomorrow, March 16, in Downtown. The 2013 Parade is Atlanta’s 131st since 1858.

Thousands are expected to participate and watch as the parade begins at noon on Peachtree Street at Ralph McGill before ending at Woodruff Park. Participants in this year’s parade include the Atlanta Fire Department, members of the Atlanta Hawks, Drake School of Irish Dance, 501st Stormtrooper and Rebel Legion, Atlanta Pipe Band and many, many more.

  1. My uncle was reared below Dublin, Ireland in Bennetts Bridge, where his parents , sister and brother are burried. He was a taylor in New York before starting a textile plant, Schwabs, in Columbus , GA. Trout and Salmon fishing opens on Bennetts Bridge at dawn on St. Patrick’s Day.
