It’s official: Sandy Springs has a new police chief and a new director of public safety.
Sandy Springs residents already know their names.
During the April 2 City Council meeting, City Manager John McDonough officially swore in Terry Sult as the city’s new Director of Public Safety and swore-in Kenneth DeSimone as the city’s new Chief of Police.

Sult, the former chief, is moving into a newly-created position that will put him in charge of both the police and fire departments. DeSimone was promoted from deputy chief of police.
