Sandy Springs narcotics detectives seized more than 67 pounds of methamphetamine from an apartment at the Colonial Grand Apartments on Roswell Road April 4, police reported.

According to a press release, a search warrant was issued after someone reported suspicious items in the apartment during a pre-announced fire sprinkler inspection. Police also found 2.4 kilos of cocaine and more than $20,000, officials said.

One man was arrested. His name has not yet been released. Sandy Springs Police Chief Ken DeSimone said it was the largest amount of meth seized since the department was founded in 2006.
