Brookhaven Mayor J. Max Davis will swear in Police Chief Gary Yandura and Deputy Police Chief Ron Freeman at the City Council’s 7 p.m. meeting April 23.
Yandura and Freeman, who started work April 15, are working to assemble the city’s first police department, which is expected to be up and running by this summer.
City Council is also scheduled to vote on an intergovernmental agreement with DeKalb County to provide police services in the interim.
