Running-Series-Header-Logo1The third annual Atlanta BeltLine Southwest 5K is set for Saturday, July 13, at 7:30 a.m. along the BeltLine’s Southwest Trail and through the Historic West End and Westview neighborhoods.

The Atlanta BeltLine Running Series has become popular for its “featured challenges,” that engage runners and walkers in fun, friendly competition. The Southwest 5K will feature the “Team Challenge,” where teams representing local businesses, schools, non-profits, run clubs, friends, neighborhoods and beyond, compete for a $500 cash purse.

Also included in this event is the Atlanta BeltLine’s second “Youth 1K Fun Run,” designed to get children 12 and under excited and involved in running early, which takes place shortly after the 5K.

There will also be art exhibits along the route, music from Power 96.1, t-shirts and after-race events. For more information, visit http://running.beltline.org.
