The article, citing information from the National Association of Realtors, said the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta market experienced a 38.9 percent gain compared with the second quarter of last year.
The NAR reports that nationally the housing market had the strongest year-to-year price gain since the fourth quarter of 2005.

Wow! A 38.9 percent price increase! Is that possible? I would be interested to see what the local MLS database has on file to see if that can be verified. If it is correct, then those that have underwater mortgages should be leaping for joy and investors must be besides themselves with glee at having bought at just the right time.
