Fourth and fifth graders at Vanderlyn Elementary are expected to begin classes on Aug. 27 in modular units at the school, Vanderlyn Principal Tracey Crenshaw said.

“Teachers are moving in right now,” Crenshaw said Aug. 26. “The students will occupy them tomorrow.”

During the first two weeks of school, the students were scheduled to attend classes at temporary locations around the school, such as the music room or drama room, while the modular units were installed, according to a notice to parents posted on the school’s website.
