A vigil for the 21-year-old art student and Army reservist gunned down on a Kirkwood bike path will be held Saturday evening at 5 p.m. at 241 Warren St., near where the incident took place. According to East Atlanta Patch, the vigil is being organized by Neighborhood Planning Unit O and attendees are encouraged to bring a sign or wear the letter “X” in memory of Xavier Arnold.
Atlanta Police said they have identified possible suspects in the Dec. 26 robbery that left Arnold dead from a gunshot wound to the head and his friend shot in the leg. A female, identified as Arnold’s girlfriends, was unharmed. Police said US Marshals and the FBI had joined the search for the assailants. A reward of $5,000 is being offered for anyone who has information in the case. Anyone with information about the shooting should contact Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-TIPS (8477) or online at crimestoppersatlanta.org.
