The 2014 Georgia Legislature session convenes this morning at the State Capitol in Downtown Atlanta.

By all accounts, the session is expected to be a fast 40 days. It’s an election year, so the general thought is that not much is going to happen under the Gold Dome as not to ruffle voters’ feathers and s0 the politicians can rush back to their districts to campaign.

Despite a speedy session, the budget, education, health care, gun rights, transportation and the cityhood initiatives are all expected to make headlines. We’ll be posting updates on the the votes (or non-votes) affecting Intown, so check back often.
