Renderings have emerged for a mixed-use development proposed for property located behind the historic Druid Hills Baptist Church in Poncey-Highland. According to a report at Curbed Atlanta, the project would not threaten the main building of the 100-year-old church, but would ultimately result in the destruction and replacement of adjoining buildings that are home to a Montessori school and office space. Early documents suggested the site would include 115 “dwelling units,” as well as office space, street-level retail and additional parking. The project would front N. Highland, Blue Ride and Seminole avenues.
