A ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 24 from 11 a.m. to noon will mark the opening of a pedestrian bridge at the Buckhead MARTA station.

MARTA broke ground in 2012 on the $32 million bridge that spans Ga. 400. The project also creates a new entrance on the north side of the station.

According to the Buckhead Community Improvement District, which helped fund the project, the bridge gives pedestrians on Tower Place Drive and Stratford Road access to Ga. 400 and the station without having to walk on Peachtree Road.
