The Georgia Chapter of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy Associates (FBINAA) has awarded the Sandy Springs Police Department with the Phyllis Goodwin Agency of the Year Award. The annual award, presented at the FBINAA’s summer conference, recognizes agencies that excel in support of the FBINAA Georgia Chapter.

Sandy Springs Police personnel who have graduated from the FBI National Academy serve as active members of the FBINAA’s Georgia Chapter. The Sandy Springs Police command staff have benefited from the education and training received from the National Academy. Continued involvement with the FBINAA and the training offered will aid SSPD in its efforts to move to the next level in law enforcement.

The Phyllis Goodwin Agency of the Year Award was named after Goodwin, the FBINAA police training tech who effectively served members of the academy for nearly 38 years.
