The Chattahoochee River 911 Authority (ChatComm) seeks to gain accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA). CALEA is a leading credentialing authority for law enforcement agencies.
To meet CALEA’s accreditation requirements, ChatComm must meet 218 standards in three general areas: policy and procedures, administration, and operations.
ChatComm invites residents of the cities of Dunwoody and Sandy Springs to comment on the agency’s ability to meet these standards. More information regarding the requirements is available through Michelle Allen, Deputy Director of Operation with ChatComm, at 404-843-6600.
Those who wish to provide a short comment on ChatComm are welcome to call 404-843-6615 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, July 21. Written comments should be sent to the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) at 13575 Heathcote Blvd. Suite 320, Gainesville, VA 20155 or calea@calea.org.
