Atlanta Police have arrested the man suspected of an armed robbery of a Subway on July 22 in Brookhaven. The suspect actually returned to the Subway at 3145 Peachtree Road to use the bathroom. An employee recognized him and called police. Before officers arrived, the suspect left the Subway and was spotted walking into a CVS at 3221 Peachtree Road. Officers entered the store and arrested Jason Simmons without incident. When patted down, an officer found an ice cream bar in Simmons’ pocket, which he had just shoplifted from CVS. The suspect admitted to the Subway robbery, along with several others in Zone 2 and Zone 5.
