Atlanta Police are searching for the man who attacked a woman on the Freedom Park Trail near the intersection of North and Euclid avenues.

According to our media affiliate CBS46, the woman was jogging on the trail around 10:30 a.m. on Monday when she heard something behind her. When It’s happened again. Another woman has reported an attack on an area trail. When she turned around, the woman was confronted by a man who had emerged from the woods who then tried to grab her.

The victim, Pearl Ryder, said she yelled and assumed a defensive stance, which startled the suspect. She described the man as clean-cut and wearing a gray shirt and jeans. Ryder was able to run away from the assailant.

Atlanta Police said patrols have been stepped up in the area and recommended that joggers run with a buddy, don’t jog at night, and don’t wear headphones.
