The new superintendent of Atlanta Public Schools is scheduled to deliver her first “State of the Schools Address” on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at North Atlanta High School in Buckhead.
Meria Carstarphen will talk to students, school board members, parents, employees and others at 7 a.m. at North Atlanta, 4111 Northside Parkway NW. She is scheduled to give another “State of the Schools Address” at 6 p.m. at Frederick Douglass High School, 225 Hamilton Holmes Dr. NW.
Carstarphen also is scheduled to appear before the Buckhead Business Association on Thursday, Sept. 11, starting at 7:30 a.m. Tickets to the event at the City Club of Buckhead, 3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 1850, cost $12 at the door for members, $20 for non-members.
