Dec. 1 is World AIDS Day, which commemorates those lost to the disease as well as encourages people to know their status.

Fulton County Health and Wellness (FCHW) is hosting a World AIDS Day Health and Wellness Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, Dec. 1, at Aldredge Health Center, 99 Jesse Hill Jr. Drive. There will be free health screenings, including HIV testing, trivia, prizes and other fun educational activities.

Tonight, from 6 to 9 p.m. FCHW will partner with the Atlanta Coalition for LGBTQ Youth for the Love & Light Night Candlelight Vigil will be held in Historic Fourth Ward Park, 680 Dallas St.. The event will remember those lost to AIDS, provide information about testing and more.
