
Filmmaker Tyler Perry is expected to pull out of a deal to redevelop Fort McPherson into a movie and television studio, according to a report in the AJC. The daily spoke with a person connected to the deal who said the sale process at Fort McPherson has taken too long and Perry plans to focus on developing a studio on property he purchased in Douglas County.
The Fulton County Board of Commissioners will hold a special called meeting on Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. in the assembly hall of the Fulton County Government Center, 141 Pryor St. The purpose of the meeting is discuss the county’s 2015 budget.
Volunteers will plant 2,000 daffodil bulbs at the Center for Civil and Human Rights in Downtown on Dec. 7 from 2-4 p.m. In 2013, Central Atlanta Progress, in conjunction with Am Yisrael Chai!, launched the Downtown Daffodil Project in support of the worldwide Daffodil Project to remember children lost in the holocaust. 20,000 daffodils were planted in Woodruff Park in 2013 and an additional 90,000 daffodils will be planted throughout Downtown Atlanta resulting in a total of 110,000 daffodils in bloom throughout Downtown in early spring of 2015.
