for rent signAccording to a study from ApartmentList.com, Buckhead Village has the priciest rents in Atlanta. A one bedroom there averages $1,560 while a two bedroom runs $1,890. That’s nearly double the average national figures.
Most Atlanta neighborhoods saw prices stay flat or drop slightly from November to December last year, according to the report. The Old Fourth Ward saw the largest month-over-month drop of 3.4 percent, with the historic neighborhood losing its previous rank of of second priciest neighborhood to Inman Park.
The list of highest two bedroom rents:

  • Buckhead Village – $1,890
  • Inman Park – $1,830
  • Midtown – $1,820
  • Atlantic Station – $1,790
  • Buckhead Forest – $1,760
  • Home Park – $1,680
  • Old Fourth Ward – $1,650
  • North Buckhead – $1,610
  • Underwood Hills – $1,590
  • Virginia-Highland – $1,420

  1. As an investment consideration, I would be interested in knowing which neighborhoods had the lowest rent in comparison to gross income. That figure would indicate the most potential for future rental rate increases while giving investors the chance to buy at a lower price bracket.
