Atlanta Police have arrested two individuals in connection with one of three carjackings that occurred at the Edgewood Retail District this month, according to a report from Decaturish.

Police arrested Quinn Byrd, 19, and Antonio Jones, 18. Byrd is charged with aggravated assault, hijacking of a motor vehicle and armed robbery in connection with an incident that occurred on Jan. 26. Jones is charged with theft by receiving stolen property.

Atlanta Police said that on Jan. 26, a man had has Mercedes Benz taken from him at knife-point in the center’s parking deck. It was one of three carjackings that occurred this month. One occurred on Jan. 11 and the other occurred on Jan. 24.

A student was carjacked outside the Best Buy on Jan. 11, while on Jan. 24 around 7 p.m., a woman was carjacked in the underground parking garage near Target. In the latter incident, three men approached a woman, one holding what appeared to be a knife, and demanded her keys. The car was later found abandoned on Harwell Street.

Police believe all three incidents might have been perpetrated by the same individuals.
