0.39051100.1287429159At its June 4 meeting, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution in support of marriage equality, urging the Clerk of the Fulton County Probate Court to begin preparing for an anticipated ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court recognizing marriage for same-sex couples. The resolution, co-sponsored by Commissioner Joan P. Garner and Chairman John H. Eaves, would ensure that the Probate Court administration is prepared to minimize lag time in issuing marriage licenses, if the Supreme Court ruling allows same sex marriage in all U.S. States.

According to a report in Creative Loafing, a proposal to build a large underground parking deck at Grant Park is back on the table.  In 2014, Zoo Atlanta hosted more than 900,000 guests and 1 million are expected this year. 

Asheville-based organic supermarket Earth Fare will open its second Atlanta location on July 8 at Emory Point, 1578 Avenue Place. An opening celebration will begin at 7 a.m. with giveaways, demonstrations, live music an and more.
