July is jumping around Intown with events and activities this month, including 4th of July parades and fireworks. You’ll also find an update on Ponce City Market, a photo gallery of the new Falcons Stadium under construction, and an update on the efforts to save historic Fire Station No. 19 in Virginia-Highland.
We also welcome our new restaurant reviewer, Megan Volpert, who revisits Ann’s Snack Bar to see how the famed burger spot is fairing after the passing of owner Ann Price. There are also previews of the upcoming Atlanta Street Food Festival and Downtown Restaurant Week events, while our photographer Isadora Pennington checks out some places for a fast lunch that aren’t fast food.
For the second part of our “Head for the Hills” special section, we talk to homeowners about why they love living in the mountains, offer some tips for those who want to rent their mountain retreats and took a road trip to the gorgeous new outpost of the Atlanta Botanical Garden in Gainesville.

Stay cool!
