Three people — including a 14-year-old girl hit by a stray bullet — were injured in a pair of overnight shootings in the Old Fourth Ward, according to a report from the AJC. Police do not believe the incidents, which occurred just a few hundred feet apart, are connected.
Officers responded to the 460 block of Boulevard around 2:40 a.m. Saturday to find a 14-year-old girl with a graze wound to her right leg. The girl told officers she had been sitting outside with her sister when they heard gunshots and ran inside their apartment. That’s when she realized she’d been shot.
An hour later, officers were called to Atlanta Medical Center, where officers found one man with bullet wound in the arm and another with a wound in his leg. Both refused to cooperate with officers, according to the report.
