Nine new fine restaurants and high-end retailers will open soon in Buckhead Atlanta. Two others opened recently. The new openings bring to nearly three dozen the number of storefronts filled since the mixed-use luxury project opened a year ago.
The following is a list of businesses that recently opened or are coming soon, according to a spokeswoman for Buckhead Atlanta developer OliverMcMillan.
Vilebrequin (now open)
A Swiss-based swimwear and “resort wear” clothing company. Founded in 1971 in Saint-Tropez, France, by Fred Prysquel. He was a car-racing fan and named it the French word for “crankshaft.”
Cacao Atlanta Chocolate Company (now open)
Local company that creates luxury chocolate products in bar, candy and hot-chocolate form.
Les Copains (summer)
Luxury Italian ready-to-wear clothing company founded in the 1950s.
Davidoff of Geneva (August)
Luxury Swiss cigar-maker whose Buckhead location will include a smoking lounge.
Dolce Italian (August)
A local version of Miami’s Italian café-style restaurant, which earlier this year won the Bravo reality TV show “Best New Restaurant.” From LDV Hospitality, the company also bringing the American Cut steakhouse to Buckhead Atlanta later this year.
Planet Blue (August)
California-based clothing, swimwear and fitness wear boutique.
Akris (August/September)
Swiss luxury women’s clothing.
Billy Reid (September)
Alabama-based luxury men and women clothing designer.
Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery (September)
Showroom of luxury household fixtures.
COURAGE b (October)
A high-end women’s fashion shop that drew notice after a financial and business rescue last year on the CNBC reality TV series “The Profit.”
American Cut (November)
A local edition of the high-end New York City steakhouse.
