The qualifying period for the Nov. 3 election in Dunwoody officially opened Aug. 31, with all incumbents filing on day one.
Councilman Terry Nall said he was first to file this morning for the District 1 At-Large post for what would be his second term. Becky Springer filed to run for this post as well.
Mayor Mike Davis posted on Facebook that he, too, is ready for the contended mayoral race against Denis Shortal, who vacated his council seat to run for mayor.
“I’m excited to qualify today to run for the office of Mayor of Dunwoody again,” Davis posted. “My first term has gone by so fast.”
Council members Lynn Deutsch and John Heneghan filed for Districts 1 and 2, respectively, where they currently serve.
Pam Tallmadge qualified to run in a special election Nov. 3 to elect a representative to fill the vacant council seat for District 1, Post 1.
Bob Mullen, a spokesman for the city, said the website is being updated hourly with candidate information.
