Another night of heavy rain coupled with wind has caused thousands of power outages around metro Atlanta and a motorist has died in Buckhead after a tree toppled onto their car.
According to the Georgia Power outage map, residents are without electricity in parts of Midtown, Candler Park, East Atlanta and Buckhead. Moreland Avenue is closed at Glenwood Avenue because of downed power lines with an estimated 10:30 a.m. repair.
In Buckhead, a motorist died after a tree fell onto their car on Woodhaven Road around 6;30 a.m., according to a report from CBS46.
