Dr. Eloisa Klementich, CEcD has been named the as the new president and CEO of Invest Atlanta, the city’s economic development arm. The vote was held during the regularly scheduled meeting of the board. Dr. Klementich has previously served as interim president and CEO, as well as managing director of business development and has worked with Invest Atlanta for four years. Previously, Klementich served as special assistant for economic development at the U.S. Economic Development Administration in the Office of the Secretary. She served as California’s assistant deputy secretary for economic development and commerce, and has held various roles with city governments, including the consultant for Mexico’s President Vicente Fox, working on best practices for addressing constituent issues and requests.

Construction delays on the new Falcons stadium in Downtown mean it won’t open until June 2017, according to the AJC. The new target date for completion of Mercedes-Benz Stadium is June 1, 2017. The delay won’t effect the Falcons’ season, but Atlanta’s new soccer team, Atlanta United FC< won’t have use of its home stadium for the first three months of  the season.

Atlanta Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying men suspected of robbing a Buckhead restaurant on Halloween. Bartaco on Roswell Road was robbed by three armed men, according to an APD report. The men fled in an unknown model vehicle.
