DeKalb County Fire and Rescue responded to a 2-alarm fire at the Marq at Brookhaven apartment complex on Friday. The complex is located on Lincoln Court off of Buford Highway.
Approximately 50 firefighters were battling the blaze described as a “raging fire” by Capt. Eric Jackson during a Periscope interview broadcast on Twitter.
No one was injured, Jackson said. More than a dozen units were damaged. A cause for the fire had not been determined as of this afternoon.
The Brookhaven Police Department was also on the scene assisting.
We are currently assisting DeKalb Fire on a structure fire. All residents have been evacuated. We will update accordingly.
