The live music lineup for the Second Annual Cherry Blossom Festival includes country, folk and Southern rock bands taking the stages April 2-3 at Blackburn Park.

Festival organizers are excited to have The Whiskey Gentry headline April 2 and Humming House and The Southern Gothic headline on April 3.

“The Whiskey Gentry has a rich, warm sound blending country, rock, folk, Americana and bluegrass that will have you singing along in no time. Paste Magazine says they are a ‘toe-tapping, steamrolling kind of band, its fingers picking deep into fields of bluegrass…with a punk-inspired kick drum,’” states a press release from the festival.

Humming House is a quintet that “embodies 21st century Nashville.” “It’s the way they weave together threads of Music City’s folk, soul, and bluegrass legacies. It’s their inspirational and revealing songwriting. It’s in their acoustic instrumentation, presenting mandolin, fiddle, acoustic guitar and bass in fresh roles. But it’s the soulful and soaring vocals that are the emotional core and lure of Humming House,” according to a press release.

The Southern Gothic, named “Artist on the Verge” in Billboard’s Best Bets, had its hit single “Sheets Down” stay on the fan-voted CMT Pure Countdown for four weeks, resulting in 60 thousand views on YouTube.
