Atlanta’s bike sharing program is set to kick off on June 9 with 100 bikes at 10 stations in Downtown.

Miami-based bike share company Cyclehop will run the program under the name Relay, which already has a website set up at relaybikeshare.com. Cyclists can reserve a bike online and get a unique PIN number to unlock the bike at one of the stations.Β 

The cost is $8 an hour, $15 per month (which includes an hour of daily ride time), $20 per month (which includes 90 minutes of daily ride time), or a $25 semester pass for students who get an hour of daily ride time.

Bikes will be installed at these stations:

  • S. Broad Street (Broad Street & Mitchell Street)
  • M. Rich Center (MLK Jr. Drive & Pryor Street)
  • City Hall (Trinity Avenue & Central Avenue)
  • Underground Atlanta (Peachtree Street & Wall Street)
  • GSU Arts & Humanities (Gilmer Street & Peachtree Center Avenue)
  • GSU Petit Science Center (Piedmont Avenue & Decatur Street)
  • Woodruff Park (Auburn Avenue & Park Place)
  • Sweet Auburn Market (Jesse Hill Jr. Drive & Coca Cola Place)
  • Hardy Ivy Park (Peachtree Street & Baker Street)
  • Nelson Street Bridge (Nelson Street & Chapel Street)

A ribbon cuttingΒ ceremony is set for June 9 at noon at Woodruff Park, which will include a two-mileΒ ride around Downtown to showcase the stations. You can register to join the ride at this link. There will also be opportunities to learnΒ about the bike share program at Atlanta Streets Alive on June 12.Β 

The Atlanta Bicycle Coalition is conducting a survey to collect public feedback on where additional bike share stations should be located around the city.Β Text the name of the neighborhood you want to see bike share in to 678-647-7176.
