Old Fourth Ward Fall Fest returns for a second year on Friday, Sept. 9, and Saturday, Sept. 10, to Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark. The event, which is presented by Xfinity and benefits the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, coincides with the Lantern Parade and kick-off of Art on the BeltLine on Saturday night.

The festival features live local music, lantern making workshops, food trucks, Whole Paws Pet Zone, local artists/vendors and more. The festival’s prime location along the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail makes it the ideal place to view the Lantern Parade, which steps off at 8:15 pm on Saturday, September 10 from the southern end of the Eastside Trail at Irwin Street Grandstand seating with an excellent view of the parade will be available to festival attendees.

Hour for the festival are 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday and noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday. The skate park is located at 830 Willoughby Way, NE.

Music Lineup
Two days of live local music gets started on Friday at 5:30 p.m. with Jiggy. At 7 p.m. Bloodkin performs, and at 8:45 p.m. the evening’s headliner, The Whiskey Gentry, takes the stage. Saturday’s music lineup begins at 1 p.m. with Norman Frank & The Ghost Dance. The Georgia Flood follows at 2:30 p.m., Pony League takes over at 4 p.m., Jacob & the Good People perform at 5:30 p.m., and headliner Atlanta Funk Society wraps things up starting at 7:15 p.m.

Lantern Making Workshops
Nine ticketed lantern-making workshops are scheduled during the two-day festival. Hosted by local artists, each 45 – 60-minute workshop includes everything you need for your DIY lantern including supplies, decor, instruction and inspiration. Workshops are appropriate for any age participant. Featured artists leading workshops include Lynn Lilly, Olive47, Karen Anderson (Tiny Doors ATL), Katie Bush and Barry Lee. Whole Paws Pet Zone
Not only is the entire Old Fourth Ward Fall Fest pet-friendly (dogs must be on leash at all times), but you can keep your pet hydrated and entertained at The Whole Paws Pet Zone, sponsored by Whole Foods Market. Please note that pets are NOT permitted in the Lantern Parade.

Parking
Attendees are encouraged to walk, cycle, run or take public transportation to Old Fourth Ward Fall Fest. For those driving to the event, please use private lots or public parking in areas that have access to the Eastside Trail. Event parking is not permitted on Willoughby Way or Ashley Avenue. Lantern Parade sponsor Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center will offer public parking on Saturday at the Atlanta Medical Center Garage B, a short 10-minute walk away from the skate park, for $6.
