CBS 46 news anchor Amanda Davis has died after suffering a massive stroke on Tuesday, according to the station.

Davis, an Atlanta news veteran for more than 30 years, was boarding a flight to Texas at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport for her stepfather’s funeral when she fell ill.

The Edward R. Murrow Award and Southeastern Emmy Award-winning Davis was a longtime presence on Intown’s airwaves, first at Fox 5 and most recently as morning anchor at CBS 46.
