Previous experience holding elected offices: None

Other community service experience: I am an active member of several mental health committees including The Georgia Behavioral Health Planning and Advisory Board, which is mandated by law and oversees federal block grant money for Georgia. Why should voters choose you for this position?

I’m a strong candidate with 25 years of legislative experience from being at the Capitol and working to protect and advance health issues. I have worked with legislators on both sides of the aisle to ensure the best outcomes. I know the legislative process and am confident I can hit the ground running.

What is the biggest issue facing the district and how will you address it?

Expanding Medicaid is an important first step, but Georgia must also be more creative at using telemedicine and integrated healthcare.
