A recount of the ballots for Atlanta City Council Dist. 3 did not change the outcome of the special election, which means a runoff between the top two vote-getters – Byron Amos and Antonio Brown – is still on for April 16.
The Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections (BRE) completed the recount this afternoon, March 26, after a formal request by candidate Greg Clay, who came in third during the March 19 special election.
Nine candidates were vying for the Dist. 3 seat, which opened up after the death of Ivory Lee Young, Jr.
