The Sandy Springs Fire Department held its first annual holiday dinner and award ceremony on Dec. 14.
The department presented awards to firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, inspectors and volunteers.
The awards presented were:
- EMT of the Year: Todd Grady
- Exceptional Duty Award: Melinda Carter and Roopal Patel
- Firefighter of the Year: Trenard Foster
- Fire Officer of the Year: Lt. Daniel Fullmore
- Medal of Valor: Lt. Jason Anderson and Parker Griffith
- Paramedic of the Year: Brett Lee
- Unit Commendation: Truck 51, Capt. Tony Brown, Jason Ellis and Hunter Cunningham
