The Atlanta Open has announced the player field for the final iteration of the historic tournament, which will be held July 20-28.
“We’re excited to once again host an impressive field of players at this year’s Atlanta Open,” said Peter Lebedevs, Executive Vice President of Tennis Operations for GF Sports & Entertainment. “We look forward to a fantastic week of tennis at Atlantic Station as we celebrate 15 wonderful years in the Peach State.”
The tournament is headlined by Atlanta native Ben Shelton and American Francis Tiafoe. Shelton is the third highest ranked American in the world at 14 and is currently playing at the Mallorca Championships in Spain. His first ATP win was also at his ATP Tour debut in the 2022 Atlanta Open, but he is best known for his U.S. Open semifinal appearance last year. Shelton is looking for redemption after he was sent home in the Round of 32 last year. Tiafoe is currently ranked 30th in the world and has won the ATP Tour three times. He is searching for his first Atlanta Open finals appearance.

Aleksandar Vukic (No. 81), the runner-up at last year’s Open and Brandon Nakashima (No. 64), the 2022 runner-up, will also participate this year.
Georgia Tech senior Andres Martin has again received a wildcard spot to participate in the tournament. Martin was knocked out by fellow Georgia native Christopher Eubanks in the first round last year, but defeated Thanasi Kokkinakis in his first ATP win in 2022.
In addition to tournament play, the Atlanta Open is hosting the Sunday Showdown delivered by UPS and the Champions Challenge on Sunday, July 21, and Monday, July 22, respectively. The Sunday Showdown exhibition match will feature Venus Williams and Sloane Stephens. The Champions Challenge is a doubles exhibition between former Atlanta Open Champions John Isner (2013-15, 2017-18, 2021), Andy Roddick (2012), and Bob and Mike Bryan.
