Global insurance company American International Group (AIG) announced Wednesday that it will open a new digital innovation hub at Perimeter Summit in Brookhaven.

The new space will span 180,000 square feet and seven floors in Summit Two and offers AIG the ability to accommodate up to 1,200 employees, creating at least 600 new jobs over the next five years, according to a news release.

The new Perimeter Summit headquarters will be a strategic consolidation of AIG’s offices in Buckhead and North Fulton, as well as house relocated employees from its Northeast offices. The company is expected to occupy the space in 2026.

According to the press release, the primary focus of the new office is to support the company’s regional growth and expansion plans, with immediate plans to hire. As part of the lease agreement, AIG will have building-top signage overlooking I-285.

JLL Senior Managing Director Brooke Dewey, Executive Managing Director Adam Viente and Vice President Alexis Vondersaar handled leasing efforts for Perimeter Summit on behalf of Spear Street Capital. JLL Executive Managing Director Josh Hirsh, Executive Vice President Gregg Metcalf and Vice President Patrick Baughman represented AIG.

“We are thrilled to welcome AIG to Summit Two,” said Laura Dunn, Managing Director for Spear Street.  “AIG’s long-term commitment to the campus is a testament to the trend we are seeing nationally – highly differentiated assets with market-leading amenities will continue to attract best in class occupiers. We know AIG will be surrounded by great corporate neighbors in the Perimeter.”
