Tens of thousands of people are drawn to Brookhaven during the city’s Cherry Blossom Festival — an outdoor music festival with food and fun for all ages.
But the weekend preceding the annual spring event is the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom 5k: a road race that last year attracted 600 runners and raised $18,000 for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation.
As a USATF-certified Peachtree Road Race qualifier, runners of all ages are welcome to participate.
Registration is open for the 2025 Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival 5k on Saturday, March 22 at 8 a.m. at Blackburn Park, 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road. The early bird registration is $25 through Friday, Feb. 14; after that, the cost goes up to $30.
Organizing teams is strongly encouraged. Walkers will start immediately after runners. Visit the site to see team fundraising progress, award categories, an updated course map, and the registration portal.
The Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30 at Blackburn Park. In 2024, the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival drew nearly 60,000 people — a record number of participants.
