Halidom Eatery is offering Girls Just Wanna Have Brunch every Sunday in March, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mimosa flights, live music, and a variety of brunch dishes are part of the lineup.
Le Petit Chef, a 3D dining experience featuring a tiny animated chef who “cooks” on diners’ plates is currently at Cassis Restaurant in the Grand Hyatt Buckhead through April. The pre-set menu features five courses, including vegetarian and kids menus. Through 3D mapping technology, your table transforms into a screen between courses where the tiny chef performs. On Saturday, March 8, El Ponce will host an International Women’s Day brunch featuring a three-course menu from Twisted Soul Cookhouse & Pours chef Deborah VanTrece and cocktails from James Beard nominee Kursten Berry and El Ponce owner Rosa Thurnher. The meal is served family-style and in a communal setting. Tickets are $85 per person.
The 10th annual Lady Locavores event and awards ceremony, celebrating women chefs, bartenders, farmers, and food purveyors from around metro Atlanta, takes place at The Goat Farm Arts Center this Saturday, starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $75 and include food and drinks.
Celebrate International Women’s Day this Saturday at Brasserie Margot. Starting at 6:30 p.m., the “Margot meets Michter’s” four-course whiskey dinner will feature guided tastings, conversations about the role of women and whiskey, and French cuisine. Reservations can be made here.
The Sip & Swine BBQ Festival will return to Coolray Field in Lawrenceville on March 8 with over 100 competing teams. Barbecue categories include chicken, pork, ribs, and brisket. Chef Donald Young from Michelin-rated Chicago restaurant Duck Sel will serve a 7-course meal at Taqueria del Sol on Howell Mill Road on March 10 (pictured). 3.14 is Pi Day, and Kennesaw’s Pochino Italy is offering BOGO pies throughout the day on March 14. The Italian restaurant uses pinsa, a Roman-style pizza dough, for each of its eight pizza combinations, ranging from Margherita to prosciutto to build-your-own options. Follow for more here.
Chai Pani Decatur is celebrating Holi and the restaurant’s 12th anniversary on March 14, starting at 5 p.m. In addition to regular dinner service, there will be Bollywood jams, a photo booth, live pani puri, henna, and Holi color throwing. Buckhead’s NaanStop is also inviting the Atlanta community for a family-friendly Holi celebration on March 15, starting at 11 a.m. Enjoy a complimentary color toss, live DJ, kids’ crafts, and light Indian snacks. Ring in Nowruz, the Persian New Year, from March 20-23 with a Mahi Sabzi Polo special at Atlanta locations of Rumi’s Kitchen. Traditionally enjoyed the night before Nowruz to mark its beginning, this dish features pan-fried red snapper served with basmati rice infused with cilantro, parsley, fenugreek, and green onion.
Arnette’s Chop Shop will host its fifth annual Mother Shucker Oyster Festival on March 23. Expect a feast of raw, roasted, and stewed oysters – plus oyster sliders, gumbo, bloody Maria shooters with Mezcal, and more. Secure your tickets here.
Owens & Hull BBQ, the Georgia-born smokehouse from pitmasters Robert Owens and Bryan Hull, is paying homage to an Atlanta favorite with a Waffle House smoked sausage. Following the Lamb Jam Happy Hour Tour in February, Atlanta chefs will showcase their lamb creations at the Lamb Jam Cookoff at the Trolley Barn on March 26. Celebrate National Paella Day on March 27 at Buckhead and Decatur locations of The Iberian Pig. The “paella party for 2” includes a free bottle of Más Así wine (choice of red, white, or rosé), plus a paella featuring bomba rice, chicken, Argentinian red shrimp, chorizo, and seasonal vegetables.
St. Patrick’s Day
Stop by Superica at Avalon in Alpharetta to enjoy a special pop-up from their soon-to-be neighbor, NFA Burger. Beginning at 11 a.m., the restaurant will feature the Billy’s classic – a double smash burger with American cheese, pickles, mustard, and “sassy” sauce – until supplies run out.
Atlantic Station’s Azotea Cantina and Atlanta locations of Tacos & Tequila will be celebrating, starting March 14, with green draft beer, gold shots with food-safe glitter, and green tea shots.
The Colonnade is featuring corned beef and cabbage throughout the day on March 17 while supplies last.
