Cool art for a hot summer

June 25 — This week, we’re meditating on cool.

First, we dip into Misting Mushrooms, a new interactive public art installation turning a patch of Woodruff Park into a misty, magical place just in time for this week’s heatwave. It’s playful, it’s free, and it might be the most refreshing piece of art you experience all summer.

Then we head to Chosewood Park to check in with Courtney Brooks, the artist and curator behind CBROOKS Gallery, one of Atlanta’s newest Black woman-owned art spaces. Her inaugural show, “kNOw Regrets,” gathers 23 artists across disciplines and generations to explore healing, clarity, and legacy.

Scroll on for reasons to brave the heat this summer.

Think cool thoughts.
