The Beloved Benefit, an annual fundraising event put on by The Same House, raised over $8 million for Atlanta nonprofits, according to a spokesperson.

The benefit took place on Aug. 14 at Woodruff Arts Center and featured appearances from T.I., Jeff Foxworthy, Ludacris, Maria Taylor, and more. Over 1,500 people were in attendance.

“I’m humbled by the generosity, the spirit, and the commitment of everyone who made this night possible,” The Same House CEO Rodney Bullard said in an emailed statement. “It takes all of us to make our house – Atlanta – a home.”

The Same House is an Atlanta-based community services organization. This year, the money raised at the Beloved Benefit went towards organizations that work to combat economic inequality, including Atlanta Technical College, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, City of Refuge, Latin American Association, Morehouse School of Medicine, New Life Community Alliance, Partners for HOME, and Westside Future Fund.

“Behind the music, the lights, and the energy of the Beloved Benefit is a simple truth: Atlanta cares deeply about its people,” Bullard said.

The roughly $8 million from this year’s benefit joins $21 million more the benefit has raised for Atlanta since 2019.
